With a deeply held belief that truly great design must be rooted in a solid understanding of how landscapes are constructed, Lara Volgyesi has grown Urban Niche into a unique, award winning design firm that is also a leader in project management and coordination of landscape installations for its designs.

With a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of British Columbia, Lara has more than 15 years of experience in place-making through collaborative and sustainable design.

Her experiences living and working in the Pacific Northwest and Interior Regions of BC have led to a passion for these ecosystems which drives her to find innovative ways to preserve and enhance the natural environment while creating beautiful places.
